Congratulations! You've Won!
Here it is. I thought it was just a rumor.
There’s been too much hype over this creepy pop-up ad people have been clicking on lately. Police say that it’s correlated to a number of disappearances all over the country, but they won’t explain why. Lot’s of people thought it was just cover up for something bigger, but here it is, shaking on my computer screen.
“Click now to receive three million dollars!” It read. The background was blue and had tiny pixilated dollar bills floating down the window. There was a little elf or troll looking thing with pointed ears in the right hand corner pointing to the click
There was a loud impatient knock at the door. She opened it to find a tall man wearing polarized sunglasses and a black suit.
“Is this the house of Reginald?”
She released the doorknob and straightened her posture. “Yes,” she began.
Before she had any time to question who the man was and why he had come to her house, the man wrapped his strong hand around her wrist and launched her out of the doorway. She landed into the arms of two other men built like professional wrestlers and was dragged down her front steps.
“Who are you? Let me go! You—you’re kidnapping me… I’m being kidnapped!
Lilly followed Sonia to the ringmaster’s cart. She felt better this time about tailing a stranger, now that the stranger wasn’t dragging her to an unknown location. It was clear to Lilly that Sonia actually worked at the circus. Everyone Sonia passed by, she waved to them, smiled at them, or said, “This one wants to be a human cannon.”
As soon as Sonia said those words, everyone who heard would look at Lilly, belch out powerful laughter, then say, “Yeah, good luck kid.” Lilly hated being underestimated. She knew she could be a human cannonball, and she knew she could be a darn good one. She just needed the
She ran. The clouds were growing thicker and darker. Specks of rain were beginning to fall. Not yet, she pleaded.
Lilly turned her head back to her family’s farm. The wind from the storm wove through the tall grass and made her braids dance in the wind. She felt compelled to go back. She knew they would be rushing to prepare for the storm. She knew they needed her help, but this was the best for everybody. She had to leave.
The farm was being threatened. It was almost taken from them twice already, and Lilly couldn’t let that happen. She wanted to help her parents, and only felt like she was weighing them down. She was leaving to
There she was. The same place she was every night. Perfect. Old habits must not disappear after all.
A week ago, I discovered that my girlfriend had been stealing cash from me whenever I left home to head to work. It turns out, she’d been doing this a while and even had a whole system going on in which I was totally unaware of. Unfortunately for her, I found out last Monday.
After a lot of yelling, threatening, and item throwing, I managed to get her to leave my house and give me back the money she tried to steal this time. The only problem is that I’m still short a couple hundred dollars.
The pub down on 6th street was where w
Hello everyone out here! I have been working feverishly on my first book and getting ready to publish it. I haven't been on here in a while. Author business is hard yeah? I'm just trying to figure where to squeeze myself into the world. Be on the lookout of some of my characters and their bios. I'll also be releasing my front cover hopefully within the next year--it's a slow work in progress. Either way, I'll be trying to post more things about my book. I'm also very interested in making stickers so I might post a few sneak peaks of my sketches for those. As always, I hope you'll enjoy.
